creditmess
Missy, If your car has been repoed already, unless you can get the amount, you won't get it back. Been there, done that. I had to pay for mine to get it back (5k cash or cashier's check) Yes it sucks but that's the truth. What will happen is, they will throw that car in auction, sell it and then send you a bill for the remaining amount.I really don't knwo what to tell you. Maybe there is some lenders that will finance you. Maybe just forget about it, and buy a beater car so you can get around. It's tough I know... Anonymous
The only way I know to get your car back would be to have a lawyer file bankruptcy for you. You need a lawyer's advice quickly though.
Ravenous Wolf
I knew someone who worked at an auction place. Once the repo man brings in the car, it is game over unless you have cash (or cashiers check) in your hand. You do have the right to go and get whatever personal belongings you have in your car out of it before they are thrown away.Sorry to hear about your circumstance. However, the only consolation is that there are plenty of people here on this board that have gone through terrible situations but have been able to effectively repair their credit so that they could return to a normal life. admin
Yep, Ravenous is right - once they sell it, it's over. Declaring BK won't help.
