Starfinder
Do you think this letter containes enough information to be used against the CA if they do not respond in 30 days? To Whom It May Concern:I have received a copy of my credit report, and have noticed that your company is showing me as having an account with your company. I have no recollection of receiving a letter from your company and am not sure I owe this. The amounts are so small that I know I would have paid this to keep it off of my credit report. I am requesting some kind of verification for this debt. Please provide me the original creditor’s name and the date you acquired the debt. I will also need the correct balance, as each credit reporting agency is showing a different amount. Thank you for any help in this matter. Anyone can come up with that. If I told you you owe me $20 that I got from Burger King in January 2002, would you give it to me? You need to ask for debt validation which proves without a doubt that their claim is undisputed. Use the letters in the sample section of this site.Any- Welcome to the board [Edit by Swede on Monday, April 21, 2003 @ 05:01 PM]

Check out the sample letters on the top of this page, that should help you out. However, I strongly suggest you read up on the board before sending out anything. You are always better prepared knowing the laws and the strategies that have worked for people in the past. The first thing you should do is to dispute things with the CRA's and see what falls off, you'd be surprised how much you can get rid of that way without having to deal with anything more.
