freexone74
hey guys!well i have a question on goodwill letters. i sent a letter to one of my creditors as i had one 30 day late mark on my CR. however if i have another creditor who has several marks - one 30, two 60 - is it worth sending in such a letter? will they take multiple late marks off my CR? thanks! morrow
It worked for me!I had a SEARS account that I am still currently making payments on. I had alot of lates, they sent me back an email saying that "I have earned a goodwill gesture" and that they were going to update my account!Try it, worst they could say is NO! Do most companies respond to emails? And should something like a GW letter be sent CMRR?
morrow
Glad you asked...I sent all my letters through the mail, no CMRRR, they don't have to even acknowledge your letter if they don't want to.BUT...I also used planetfeedback.com to send all my GW. That my friend, is what finally worked for me.Sears didnt respond to my first 2 attempts, but they did on my 3rd using planetfeedback!

As long as you're in good status it's fine but when/if things go sour- they're nasty to deal with.
freexone74
i was wondering if an account was closed by grantor though what would be my best action 2 take? i am not sure i can get it off my report but would they still be willing 2 remove the late payments even though it is a closed account? morrow
You can never go wrong with a goodwill letter. You cant screw it up and the worst they could do is say no.Your absolutely putting nothing at risk by asking them to make a goodwill adjustment.I say GO FOR IT! And may the force be with you.
vonniegirl
Hi morrow, You said you sent the Good Will letter regular mail? How do you know if they received it? :notsure: Do you wait to check your credit report ? I have 5 sitting on the table was unsure how to send :notsure:
morrow
Just send them regular mail. This letter is simply you asking them for something. There are no laws, deadlines or anything that the OC have to oblige by, therefore it is unnecessary for you to keep track of these letters with CMRRR.Good luck!
