Gadgetguy
While I am working on the major problems with my credit reportI have several questions regarding more minor notations on my account...I declared bk13 in 1996. Several accounts I had that had no balance on were closed when they reviewed my account (I guess I don't blame them, but it was insulting at the time). Now while reviewing my CR I notice that they are noted as "Account closed by Credit Grantor".So my question is, do creditors see this "Account closed by Credit Grantor" as a negative? Even with a paid/never late? Should I contest this? If I should contest it, what is the best approach? Thanks all,-Gadgetguy(BTW I DID search the board several time and couldn't find an answer to this)
creditmess
it is not as bad as charge off but its still bad.You might want to dispute it and say that the card was never closed by the credit grantor. From my understanding is that it is better to have it :" Account closed at customer's request" than "Account closed by Credit Grantor"
andyb
Just be careful with that. I disputed a few with tu and they were completly deleted, resulting in a lower score. I would work on other bad things first.
