What would you do with a ca that has a debt that is still within the sol? I had an accout with Orchard. Last payment was 11-2001, charge off was 5-2002. Wolpoff and abramson was trying to collect on this, but stated to me it was a household card. I had an still carry a current household card. I didn't truly think this was my account. I sent dv to wolp 30 days up today, have not heard back from them. It looks as though they have taken their inqs off my report, and never had actually reported to my cr. But now, midland is showing up with same dates, acct no and everything that wolp had. Orchard don't show on my report, household shows, and now midland credit. Midland states for orchard/household. Household shows transfered or sold. Are midland and wolp related some how? Since household sold the account, would they still be able to verify with dv letter? Would midland now have signed credit app? BTW, I don't think I signed a paper for them, I think I signed up for the card via the internet. Any suggestions on how to handle this? SOL is 6 years as I am in Michigan.

Yes, Orchard is part of the Household family. You'll just have to go thru the motion again with Midland.

Thanks for the reply's. Do you think Midland will do DV or do you think they will IGNORE me as did Wolpoff? I have done the dispute with cra that household was not mine, TU has already verified. I am afraid to do DV to Household, for fear they might just sue. If HH reports to my cr that is is sold, can they sue me or would Midland have to sue me? What do you think?
