coolcreditchick
Hi all- I am so confused by all this Credit Bureau stuff. I sent a another dispute letter to all 3 CA and when checking my credit with PrivacyGuard...some of the deleted ones are still on there. WHy can one site for getting reports say one thing and another site another? Also, Is there anyway to fix a "Paid for settled price" from a collection? I have 2 that I settled before getting smart and it really looks bad on my report.
marisakay
i believe the best way to "fix them" is to get them off your report all together..thats what i am attempting right now....try to dipsute w each CRA as "not mine"..good luck!________vaporizer Edited January 20, 2011 by marisakay
creditmess
ANY collection, and I mean ANY, that is listed on your credit report is bad. It doesn't matter if you paid them 5000 bucks for 2000 debt...and it says, PAID IN FULL.. It's a collection. You want to have it REMOVED.Now, as for the credit reports, I would suggest you fork out some cash and get individual reports from each CRAs.www.equifax.comwww.transunion.comwww.experian.comThose are the most accurate reports. Now, as for disputing. Dispute everything that is derogatory as "not mine" first. If it comes back verified, try to do "not mine" one more time (it worked for me couple times) if that comes back verified again, go for "wrong balance", "never late", "paid in full" things like that.Read the board... there is sooo much information here its not even funny!
