Just wondering...dates on lates vs. quantity listed on CR

Just wondering, would it make a difference in how easy it would be to get removed lates listed on CR with actual dates or lates listed in quantity (ie. 3 times 30 days late as opposed to 30 days late: 1/00, 2/00)

Does it mean anything or make a difference. My lates were all just "verified" with EQ so I am zipping off some goodwill letters, just wondering how hopeful I should be. Funny thing is most of these lates on EQ are paid as agreed with the other CRA.

:p

Are the dates you posted 1/00 2/00 correct? Is the account opened or closed?

Most accounts (revolving/Installment) are reporting for the past 24 Months. So if account is currently open, 1/00 & 2/00 should have fallen off by now.

If account is closed, look at date of last activity then count backwards on history for delinquincies.

If account is closed and you were current after 02/00, I would try goodwill letter to OC. If that doesn't work, try letter to OC through PlanetFeedback.com

HUH???

my dates were just an example

lates stay on for 7 yrs so even if they were true, I would still be stuck with them

open/closed wouldn't make a difference

I think you misunderstood my question....on my CR I have lates listed in quantity with some accts and others listed with dates. I was just wondering if dates weren't listed cause they no longer had the data or something so they would be able to remove more easily.

thanks for replying

;)

You are correct.

Lates do stay on for seven years. However, on an OPEN account your activity for the past 24 months will be posted. ie; 000000000000

010000120000

This means that 14 and 19 months ago you were 30+ days past due. In month 20 you were 60 days past due.

By month 18, account became current.

there will also be a lifetime history on account.

(30-2, 60-1, 90-0)

If you have been current for the past 24 mos, Creditors do not know when delinquincies were. For scoring pourposes, last 24 months are the most favored.

Therefore it is easier to get delinquincies removed if you have been current for an extended period of time.

Get the delinquincies removed from the past 24 months or longer and the history (30 - 60 - 90) will automatically update.

If, I am still misunderstanding you, I apologize.

Hope this helps.

Robert

Sorry, but before I get corrected by other posters, Months Reviewed will not be 24 if is an item that had a term of less than 24 months.

ex; Installment loan of 12 mos, closed credit card account with less than 24 months activity, a car loan that was less than 24 mos etc.

If this is the case CBR will state ___ months reviewed.

However, if more than 24 months are reviewed, Months reviewed can be any lenghth of time.
