timbercreektech
Originally posted by marisakayso i disputed w all 3 CRA's abd they all got it on April 23...
I presume they were for "Not Mine", "Paid", etc...
well today i get a letter from TR saying this.....
Do you mean Trans Union ?If so, Trans Union seems to send all kinds of things which are very confusing. I recieved requests from them also. What I've read is to just ignore it. You should have the Green Card from CMRR mailings to them. Thats when the 30 days started. Good Luck [Edit by timbercreektech on Thursday, May 1, 2003 @ 08:17 AM]
paw67
marisa,I don't think it is a problem to sign something for a CRA, it is the collection agencies that you need to worry about when it comes to a signature. If you gave them all of the necessary items I wouldn't worry about it. I would just wait out the 30 days.Good luck!paw67
marisakay
hi yes...they were for NOT MINEso i should just ignore and still keep the clock running?they got all the info they need right? thanks!________KH500 Edited January 20, 2011 by marisakay
marisakay
ok thanks..so even tho i did not originally send them a signature..it will be ok? since they are requestin it and saying they "need it" to start the investigation....i am just afraid i will go the whole 30 days and here they really did need it and nothing will be done and i wasted that 30 days...________easy vape vaporizer Edited January 20, 2011 by marisakay
paw67
marisa,Yes, I would just ignore it. I sent a dispute in to them also and included my signature. They sent me a letter saying they received a request from a credit repair agency to dispute items on my behalf and cannot do it without a receiving a signed paper that gives the "credit repair agency" power of attorney from me. They also included a page for me to fill out to dispute information on my own. I am also just going to ignore the letter from them and give them 30 days.Good luck!paw67

Gadgetguy
Seems like it might be appropriate to call them to inquire how your investigation is going. You could verify what is happening, in progress and the clock is ticking or time to resubmit. Either way I would be business like but firm. Let them know that it is inappropriate for them to do this. Just curious, did you quote the FCRA anywhere in the letter? Anyone else-on "You don't need to use a Credit repair agency" letters were you using the FCRA in your letter? On my letters I start off a little more gently (I've only been doing this for 2 months) "As I understand it you have 30 days to research this matter" is more the tone I take. YMMV.-Gadgetguy
chingasaholo
transunion is a master of pulling this crap, they did this to me a total of 4 times in a row. Wanting me to send in a copy of my drivers license and SSN. I caved and did, 4 times. They said they only got it once and it was unreadable, bunch of bullsh#@. So, I sent them a really nice intent to sue letter, very strongly worded with a 15 day time limit courtesy of Ching!!! I faxed it and mailed it CRRR Yesterday. we'll see how this works. I'm thinking it might.....I'm only disputing one item, a duplicate trade account that is listed as open and dropping my score.ching aling ding [Edit by chingasaholo on Thursday, May 1, 2003 @ 11:20 PM]
