Experian Says I Have to Call Creditors

I called Experian today to dispute some credit inquiries, and the rep said the creditors appeared to have used my valid address to check on my credit, so they won't investigate. I have to call each creditor and look into the credit inquiry myself. That's BS, right?

Yeah thats a load of crap! They HAVE to investigate anything that a consumer disputes.

I just typed out letters to all 3 CRA with a list of unauthorized inquiries that I demand be removed. I have already contacted the OC about these and most of them didn't even respond!!!

That's what I thought!

Do you have any idea how to dispute Experian entries online? I have "Credit Manager," and when I click on the "Dispute" tab, it asks for a report number, etc., which I provide, and then it just takes me back to my credit report again.... Am I doing something wrong?

Call their tech support number. They will assist you. I had the

same problem.

... By the way(sp.? figure of speech) when get your report their is an inquiry number, call experian with that number and tell them you are disputing them as not yours

... the verbal approach is better

call and demand they investigate. Experian told me to call the creditors and so will exquifax and the others. They do have to investigate everything on their reports. This is information THEY compile. And since they sell it, and it's the law, it has to be correct...Trust me, even creditors want this to be correct, they may be Potential creditors of yours!! They need your business and they dont get if you have crappy info on your credit report. Spin this line to them and demand that they investigate. They will come off, it just takes some work

Okay, when your CR comes up, click on an account.

When it shows you the account info, up at the top of the page it will say, "request investigation" click on it and there you go!

Hope it helps, all 3 CRAs have different formats for online investigations. Good luck!

Hello,

Do you have a report number from another experian Report.

If you do just go to experian.com from that point read, type the number in along with your social, etc. or you could just call them on the phone and put in your dispute,be extra nice ok, and also tell them that you have sent letters to the companies that filed inquiries they refused to respond. You never gave them permission to run your credit. Make it sound good now. Tell them that you have gone around and around with these people by phone and they still will not remove these inquiries. You would like to have them removed. Be nice to the person ok. Within a few days you will get their response and all inquiries will be removed. EeeeeZzzzz. Score will go up a few points. I said a few points 2-5 points total. Not each. Very little but every point counts. You need the points more than you need the inquiries right, well keep your head up.

The trick with experian on inquiries is too ask for special

services, tell them that the inquiries were fraudulently made'

they will investigate them and most likely will come off.

Experian is the most efficient at removing inquiries.

You have to be careful if you tell them the inquiries are fraudulant. Ive heard they can put a fraud alert on your account that makes it difficult to manage your accounts!
