Hi everyone :D

I just found these boards and boy are you guys GRRREAT!! I disputed a tone with all 3..got word back from Experian and the 30 days is up on June 1st fro equ and TU. I did everything online.

Now here is my question...i got 7 things deleted but still have a good amount that verified.

**2 of them are collections from old utility bills...do i send a validation letter to them?

**What about a loan that is from 1997 that the company bought the old company and verified the new info...now it is stating that it will be on my credit report until 2009!! How is that possible?

**How about if the others are original creditors (rinky dink Fingerhut and Seventh Avenue) they verified do i proceed to go another way instead of not mine? Do i need to wait or go for it immediately?

**And can the original creditor list and then list with a collection compoany also(it is stated original creditor: Providian...but Providian is also listed on its own. Is this double whammy?

Thanks so much..

-You have the choice of just disputing again with a different TL within...like dates, amounts, etc. Or, yes, you can go for validation. But if this has not been paid and the SOL isn't up for collecting the debt, then you risk them hassling you for the money.

- That doesn't sound right to me! When was it supposed to come off? Was this charged off or paid and when? If it's delinquent, when did it first go bad?

- Yep, try, try again!

- Yes, they can both list it, but one has to have a $0 balance. They cannot both say that you have the same outstanding debt.

Hope that helps! Good Luck!

from what I have been reading on these boards, the SOL begins 180 days from the date of last activity. Click on one of the links above and read though, as I am certainly no expert. It does sound to me like the CA is trying to *pull a fast one* and re-age this account, if your actual date of last activity was back in '97. I am interested in seeing what kind o answer you get from some of the more knowlegable members. Thanks for posting this!
