O.K. Heres my situation. Disputed an account from 1998, old one I thought would be easy. Recieved complete validation, including signed contract, photo I.D., payment history...everything.

The account was originally on my EX report.

Got my greencard back, then disputed through EX. Recieved my validation before they verified through the CRA.

Heres how the account showed AFTER they verified through EX:

O.K. Bump for results...need opinions. Pulled up Experian tonight...investigation completed. Verified, no change.

But, this account is not listed as "In dispute". Copied from EX:

O.K. Here's what I'm thinking of doing. Need your opinions. Since they did not note that the account was "In Dispute By Consumer", is that a violation even though they provided me complete validation? Shouldn't they still note the account in dispute, regardless?

If so, I wouldn't mind sending a C&D to them. If they sue...IF....I could use that one violation to my defense. I know it's weak, but could it work?
