fixingwhatbroke
I just used the online disputes for EX and TU and was wondering if these really work or if its better to do it through certified mail. This was my first step in rebuilding my credit rating since I'm wanting to purchase a house. Any info would be great!! Thanks
md
Read, read, and read as many posts as you can. This is either directly addressed or indirectly addressed in many posts. The idea behind sending it via CMRR is that it may sit around before even getting processed, which works to your advantage. The 30 day clock start ticking when they receive it, not when they decide to start processing it. Online will work fine often times, but this is the main logic behind CMRR.Also, some disputes can't be done online, so fax, phone, or CMRR may be your only option. You will just have to wait and see for now. Good luck!
fixingwhatbroke
Thanks for the reply!I guess I will just wait the 30 days and see what happens with the online disputes. I have a very, very long way to go and I didn't expect to be able to fix over night. Is it best to just "not mine"everything or do you try one and see what happens and then try another reason? Is it impossible to get paid tax liens removed? Thanks in advance.
