skdigi
last month with tu i had 2 pos TL, one a student loan and another from a bank pers loan back in '98. i also had another pers loan from the same bank that had a late so i disputed that one account, however both accounts from that bank were deleted when i only disputed one. this is NOT good since i have such a short history and shortage of pos tl's as it is!!!should i call tu and demand they put the other one on because i never even disputed it, and it was correct info?can i threaten them legally at all???grr! smontoya5
Unfortunately, the FCRA only specifies that positive information remain on your credit report for "up to" 10 years. You can try calling or even better, make a copy of your old report with the positive on there and ask to have it put back on.Sometimes the CRAs are willing to play nice and re-report the items, sometimes they tell you that you have to contact whichever company was reporting the TL and ask THEM to resubmit it. kb9tbq
The CRA should not be able to re-add this, will come down to you contacting the original creditor and asking them to re-add. This is if they still have the data in their system.
