Ravenous Wolf
Got busted at work while surfing this web site.A screen pops up saying that I am not authorized to view this site. And I figure that if the corporate office knows that I am doing (or not doing) at work, that I may as well lay off surfing here. That bites...Especially because I planned on asking people here lots of questions about the FDCPA and the FCRA for my small claims lawsuit.I haven't had much free time in the afternoons or evenings. Being in a new home, I have been working my [EXPLETIVE DELETED] off. I have two thirty gallon live oak trees in buckets in the back yard (and only one partially dug hole). A couple of hours ago, I just sliced part of my combined cable/internet/telephone underground cable. I spent a couple of hours carefully excavating around it and taping it up with black eletrical tape (no joke... that is what customer service told me to do since a technician would do the exact same thing). As well as other projects in the yard and in the garage (painted the entire garage in the previous weekend).I did buy a book on how to win a small claims lawsuit in Texas. And I am going to ask an attorney to recommend me to a lawyer who does nickel and dimes cases. I figure like 100 clams for fifteen minutes of advice may go a long way.----The Truth! I thought maybe you didn't like the "EMOTIONAL DISTRESS" suggestion I made!!!(lol)Hey, you can always ask questions late at night, or leave something in the "IS THERE A LAWYER IN THE HOUSE".I saw all those CMRR'S that you posted with your question, and I guess everything SWEDE has been saying to us about putting things on paper is going to work out for you.... So, this lawyer you're looking for is he FCRA and FDCPA savvy???????
Ravenous Wolf
I have a friend who is a fairly prominent attorney but I don't want to ask him for advice. Instead, I am going to ask him if he could refer me to someone who does nickel and dime stuff for some pointers on about a lawsuit. And I haven't had a chance to read that book, but I am going to find out as much as I can about small claims court. And once I can get my yard and my house straightened out, then I can fully devote all my time and effort. You know that you can call your local BAR and ask for a consumer lawyer just to see if you have a case. I got in touch with a lawyer for about $15 bucks but I still wanted to know a little about what was going on.If you do that then at least you know you are going in the right direction.
