I finally got all of my files merged. Thank god that they didn't delete any good TL's. Today I got 2 more neg accounts deleted from TU! :D So happy! Look at that score rise! ;)

I'm waiting for an update with EQ. I just spoke with a exec at an OC who was reporting a neg account on me. Well the account was not mine and FINALLY they are deleting it! :D

Also waiting for EX results from inq disputes.

So I am very HAPPY today! I love getting good results it makes up for all of the waiting and wondering and frustrations!

Thanks for checking in on me! :)

How are you and DH doing? Is DH feeling better? I hope so. I know all to well about being sick and bad health problems. For 7 years I've had terrible health problems but I am finally doing better these days. I feel for you and DH. I hope that your having a great day! :)

I have another question for you.

Is Status: CLOSED/NEVER LATE pos or neg?

Also, could I send you a copy of my CR thru e-mail for you to look at? I need to know what kind of accounts I need to raise my score. Also, what ones that I should get rid of.

Would you look at it for me? Please Please PLEASE?

I actually had 3 files! I asked them to merge them all because each file was under a different name. My married name, hyphenated name and a spelling error. I had to send my SS card, marriage certificate copies of credit reports & lisence. It took a full 30 days and I called all the time because I was afraid of them deleting my pos TLs. But in the end it all worked out. They are finally merged.

Is yours due to too many accounts or mispelled names?

could be names, but i think mostly from pulling my own reports. That b.u.m.p. about 18 hards off my report. I called today and she said yep its split, and said she would fix. Bad thing is, the new split file had 3 old collections that had already been deleted off. She said I can dispute them again, and I was like no way. I have my letter, so I hope that I can use that with the 5 day rule to get them back off. I have no idea what it looks like now, pg has not changed at all through the entire thing. My score prob went to heck too. And I just got it up to 573. Augggggggggggggg, don't know what the next step is.

Anything that has been deleted should remain deleted! Even if it is only deleted from 1 of your files. None of mine were added back on thank god! With EQ they told me to stop pulling my report because it was making it impossible for them to combine them. To many soft inq's Like you! ;)

If they do add them back, just send them your old CR showing that thy were deleted. I wouldn't worry about that to much. Beleive me I did tons of worrying and all it got me was a big headache. I worried for nothing! ;)

I wouldn't call daily because it will just give you a PITA!

Yes, they will send you the complete and final updated-merged CR!

When I called them after it was done, I always ask them now...How many files do I have? I need to make sure there aren't more floating around or suddenly appearing if you know what I mean.

It was really hard to wait and see what my score would be like, but it was fine. I, like you thought the worst would happen. Now with getting hard inq's off it is even better! ;)

Thanks for asking about DH - he just takes one day at a time. His problem is multiple headaches of every type. Has good & bad days, but he is getting out of the house more & more.

We will be hitting car shows every weekend (not good for me being as white as could be) got multiple sun burns last year and off to a good start for this year, just this weekend got burned again. :( Bought a tent and sun tan lotion but it don't work for me. To really get a laugh - I am hispanic but you would not know it looking at me.

Yes that would be fine, you have a copy of credit report for me to look over, my e-mail is kb9tbq@hotmail.com

Sorry not so quick to respond - since move we have not gotten the home internet service back up yet, should be fixed hopefully this week sometime. So I have just been dropping in during work hours 8 to 5 central time.

How are you coming along on the mixed file problem, were you able to get rid of the personal information linking the incorrect information. Be sure when you send e-mail to give me an outline of which trades are not yours still needing to be disputed, so I don't include them in on the over all picture.

See you still working on little things here & there - how are things going for you so far.

What are you left with that you are still working on? Think what really helped you was the authorized user accounts you got added. That was you biggest difference. But remember you will want to establish eventually your own accounts & let go of these AU accounts down the line.

I have like 3 seperate 30 day lates, one of them have been updated with a GW letter, Capital one has refused to report inaccurate info, so im still working on that one too. Working on DW's report, I have gotten hers up to the mid 600's. I have been trying to get all the balances to $0.00 on the accounts that I closed back in Jan, im over half way there so that should help out some too.

Is the Capital One account that refused to remove the lates - is this one still open?

If so leave it open - if you have to do the time, you can still reabilitate this account. Will just take longer, but if you close ahead of time, it is locked down. But the older they get the less they affect the scores, so would just leave it be to expire. Just all depends on where it sits on the most recent late date.

That is a bummer, will be a long time for the reporting to expire on the late - then it being closed on top of that.

You can outright try to bump this off, but score might just take a hit, on the other hand you would have to clean slate to work from.

Had you since tried another goodwill letter. Know a few here with persistance was finally able to get good results after a few tries. Had you considered to see if you can re-open this account - and work it from that angle to age off the reporting and make it positive again.

KB- Tell me about aging off reporting! I have a couple of 30 day lates as well, about 2 years old. On Equifax, the status on those accounts is R1, but they still say Current was 30 days, or something like that.

There are two ways:

One you ask the creditor on open accounts if they have a program in place for re-aging. If they do that will require certain amount of payments on time then they will wipe the slate clean of the dreogitory lates showing up on the credit report.

The only other way is time elasping for the late to drop off the credit report on the open accounts. I have to admit I get a bit confused on the time period for this to happen, but I know outside of 2 years it will not be affecting the credit scoring to much. But it could possibly 7 years for it to remain. If the account is still open after that time, then it reverts back to positive reporting.

The aging does not matter - until the account goes delinquent (collection / charge off). So that you can figure up SOL & Expiration of the account off the credit report.

So with an account currently open, you do no harm with re-aging this account, since it has not gone delinquent (other then the one time late).
