austinsmom
Equafax says that I have two listings. One with my full name and one with just my first and last name. They refuse to send me a copy of my CR until I send them a copy of my DL and last paycheck (or something similar). They state that this was done by a creditor who listed me wrong.Should I send the stuff? Can this effect my credit score? They say no. I did send dispute letters yesterday. Is there a quicker way to handle this?HELPPPPPPPP!A
kb9tbq
You have a split file with Equifax, they will need copy of your drivers license - ok to send this to them (can mark out the DL#).Hard to say what this will do to your score; all depends on what is contained in the two files that can be merged together. But you do want them fixed so you can move forward on your clean up.Right now you have 2 credit scores - when the merge is complete you will have one score combined from the two.Copy of utility bill should be good enough to included, I would not go so far to send paystub. Also you want to make note of which creditor made the mistake so you can contact them and correct the error - otherwise their reporting might just mix things up again.
