Why is this???

Recommended Posts

Here is my thing: My husband Filed Bankruptcy about 3years ago. He can never get a Credit card unless its by mail. We have bought a house and a new SUV since. Why is this?? I would think that since he could buy this stuff he could get a credit card with good intrest or with more than $1000.00 limit. Is there any input.....

Some creditors are more bankruptcy friendly than others. He should give a try at this time to clean up his credit reports from the derogitory information that is holding him back.

Need to obtain copy of all his credit reports from Experian Equifax & TransUnion. Don't bother with the 3 in 1 reports or monitoring services at this time. Need the raw data only provided directly from the major 3 CRAs.

The main reason is because your house and car are secured loans. If you default, they can take them away from you to recover as much cost as possible.

With Credit cards they are basically SOL and the amount that they could possibly recover would be a much lower percentage.

It is basically a difference of unsecured debt vs. secured.
