? Where do you see that? Why would they need unlimited access to my credit report including credit alerts?

Sis and Swede, I was just doing an Alta-Vista search on: Equifax NEAR Gold.

I came up with a lot of hits on a CANADIAN Equifax commercial product called something like Continuous Monitoring Gold.

Is that what you're referring to Sis ?

It's hard to believe any misconstrual of that info. would be the source of any confusion. That CM Gold seems like it's been around since 2000 or so.

I found the following info posted on another board and thought those of you waiting on the new EQ credit monitoring would be interested

***

Gold has unlimited pulls at 99.95 annually, with a 20,000 id theft certificate, with UNLIMITED PULLS, or you can do it at 9.99 per month.

You get notifications, etc............It has alot more, but I don't have time.

The 99.95 is due immediately.

PLUS is 49.95 annually, 2500 theft certificate, 1 credit report.

If you want your FICO score, it will be 7.00 extra.

***

The post said that they are supposed to be available tomorrow.

Hope this helps.

Don't know with certainty but my guess would be an insurance in case you suffer losses due to ID theft.

BTW, just by coinkydink, I just got off the phone with a creditor closing a credit card account. Some schmuck (or schmuckette) got ahold of my CC info. and went on an internet spending spree. They hit me with $200 charges on 4 items. Waiting on the fraud affidavit now.

(Just in case it was the mysterious hacker hanging around here earlier, tough titty chief the party's over !)
