leeanninfl
Hubby and I both have a judgement on our reports that is from 3/97. I am trying to figure it out because the item the judgement is from is included in the bankruptcy that was filed 2/97. Is there a way to get the bankruptcy and judgement off our credit reports before next year when they are scheduled to come off? HELP, just got my first CA deletion today (NCO) and am rabid to finish. sisflomi
Make sure all your old names and address's, work places, what have you, anything personal that is old or out dated, call all 3 and get them off your report. Then when that is done, just dispute as not mine on the judges and see what happens. They say that if you have a different name and addy that it is hard for them to verify. GOOD LUCK
paw67
Did you include the debt that relates to the judgement? If so, the judgement should have been vacated/dismissed due to bk. I would dispute as "not mine" and see what happens. Other option would be to contact the courthouse and see what the judgement actually reads.paw67
leeanninfl
The original debt was a Lease through GMAC, the lease was up in 1994 and they had the car since the week before the lease was over. In Feb 1997 we filed bankruptcy. GMAC is listed in the paperwork as being included in the bankruptcy. March 1997 the judgement is listed as being from GMAC. This is what I don't get, it's not like it was the month before the bankruptcy was filed, it was the stupid month after. I am going to call the courthouse tomorrow and see what is up. I joined Pacer and looked up our documents and there it is listed. I don't get it.
