Providian - WOW

Just got an email from Equifax saying that there was something new on my credit. Well, Providian changed from R-9 to R-1, $0 balance, and paid as agreed. Originally it said it was sold, but I got those people off right away.

How cool is that?

Now, I've recently read where another lend who bought Providian and that it could show up there. However, since it was not deleted, but was updated to a good status, does that mean that this other lender probably won't report?

How did you dispute this? Not mine, never late... or Did you contact Providian about this account? Depends on what info. Providian provides to the other lender as to whether they come after you on this and if they will update CRA's. Did you have a big balance? Why was account neg?

Congrats on the pos. TL's! I hope it stays for you!

That great!

If the TL mysteriously re-appears again on your CR, remember, the CRA must notify you within 5 days of adding it back on. If they don't notify you, they have to delete it for good. Save a copy of your updated CR that has the TL deleted, incase they add it back on.

Congrats! :)
