MBNA Reporting

I'm so happy. My wife and I made me an authorized user on her MBNA card (3 years, no lates, 17k credit limit $500 balance) and my experian fico jumped 21 points! (from 640 to 661). I had no revolving credit lines on my report, so I think this helped a lot. I'm hoping for a similar jump from EQ and Tu (currently 622 and 637). Does MBNA report to all three? And, do you think I'll see a similar jump there.

Thanks a lot...and thank you for all the great info on this board.

That is great news, yes I do believe that MBNA does report to all 3 CRAs, now on what can be expected for an increase that won't be an easy thing to guess, cause each of the other 2 CRAs will have different information contained in their credit report & what it all adds up to. You could get less increase or you might even score better - really can't say for sure though.

Great...that's what I figured...I guess I wanted to share my good news more than anything else. My mortgage officer felt pretty comfortable around 620...he'll feel even better around 660. My wife has excellent credit and our debt to income ratios are pretty good. We'll be looking for official preapproval in about 2 months...so I hope MBNA reports to the others soon.

Thanks so much...you really are SO much help.

That should definitely make it by then, they usually say 30 to 60 days.

Does she have maybe one more credit card account she can add you as AU on? Think you can push this to get the scores up even more in your case with no existing credit card account at this time.
