counselor4kids
I have a 30 day late on my Sears account which actually occurred in March. On my credit reports the late status is showing in May or June. I'm assuming they just took their sweet time in reporting. I have my statement which shows a payment was made in May and was large enough to also cover June. The statement shows no payment due until July. Therefore, May and June are in good standing. If I was to dispute the 30 day late for those months would they be able to change it based on that info? Or would they move the remark to a previous month? It hurts me even more right now because the late pay is showing so recently.
sisflomi
It is my experiance that none of the cras take what you send them too seriously. You can try thats for sure, and make sure you send a strongly worded letter with a copy of your proof. One that recites just what the FCRA says reguarding consumer proof. Two months could be the difference between getting 5.25% on a mortgage and 5.75%...or, more...depending on when you were to apply.Send the letter, and the statement copy. The worst thing that could happen is your report staying the same.
