retmar
To add to Adsoft's reply, I would like to add the following. In his reply, he said to claim "wrong status" which would give you many disputes. He is right. What he is referring to is to be sure and check your State's own Collection Laws along with the Federal Laws. You might find things there to use to your advantage. Such as, in California's Laws, there are some that are quite effective, especially with out of state CA's.Always remember one thing. It does not matter if a debt is valid. What matters, is how the debt is collected.

I think that's what RETMAR means by how the bill is collected!!! .... and I think he also means how it is being reported, because according to the CA$$ Letter reporting on your credit report is a form of collection.[Edit by ADSOFT on [TIME]1057435466[/TIME]]
