My reports are starting to look good especially equifax but i have 4 NYS tax judgements that are ruining my report. There all paid. Anyone have any ideas as to how to get rid of them? I disputed as not mine but they come back verifeid real fast.

How old are these? Also, how many times have you disputed and how? Are these all linked to your updated address? I have seen how some have had the address linked to a judgement removed and they can't update based on that. Just a few thoughts...

Two are over 4 yrs and should fall off 4/2004 and 5/2005 but the other 2, one is a year old and the other is about 6 months old. I disputed the oldest as not mine but haven't touched the most recent ones because they don't show paid yet and i'm afraid if i got lucky and got them off, they would come back after there updated as paid. I only disputed the oldest as not mine but they came back verified from all the CRA'S.

Heres what you can try, the ones that you paid off, you can call the court clerk and ask them what you need to do to have the judgement vacated. They should have the forms you need and it might work for you. For the others, its best to just work them with the cra's until you can get them off. Keep disputing them all with cras. I would try once more for now with not mine or wrong amounts or something like that. If they still come back, then wait till the xmas chod and do them again. You could get lucky that way. As for them getting added back on, you have the five day rule behind you that cra's don't seem to ever follow. If they re-insert an item that was deleted, they have to notify you within 5 days that it has been re-inserted. If they don't do that, then they have to removed them forever.

Thanks SIS and CD for the helpfull info. I've heard about Dolan. How would i go about disputing it with them? the same as anyother CRA? I would think but maybe i'm wrong (hopefully i'm wrong) that all they would need to verify the judgements would be a copy of the judgement and easily verified. I've also heard that i could vacate if it wasn't served right but in NY i think all they have to do is send regular mail to the last known address, but i'm not 100% sure about that.
