KimmyG
Ok I finally get the "bumapge" thing...which is unbelievably awesome-however, what I don't get is that if you were to join/pay for Experian's on-line credit watching service and keep pulling why does it not work with them? Have they figured out the trick and stopped it somehow? Also, I haven't asked recently, but as of six months ago, when I asked to have inquyiries disputed they (Experian)told me flat out that they will no longer dispute tham and to contact the creditor directly for any that are in question... md
EX didn't have to stop anything. It just has to do with how their respective software was written in the first place. My guess is that TU and EQ use the same software vendor or something. That is all it has to do with. TU and/or EQ may tell the software developers to "fix" it, but until then we shall reap the benefits. Yes, EX sucks with respect to inquiries. I still have some with them that I am working on getting rid of. What a pain.
Anonymous
EX isnt that bad with removing inq's...you just have to ask for the fraud department...when you ask the csr(customer service rep.) for the fraud dept. they always ask "uhh can i ask why?" and I'm like "because someone stole my life and i need to take it back thnx now go away..." and they transfer me then the fraud dept will put it all in dispute i sat on the phone talking with the girl for about 45minutes just for fun asking where is she...how's the weather there?...I think she was flirting with me BUT ya ask for the fraud department with experian! Then it will appear across the board on all 3!!! Having a fraud alert on your cr makes it more difficult for you to aquire instant credit. EX and EQ you can just cancel the FA, but TU is more difficult. Use this method of getting inq off EX at your own risk.

Cascadesss
It's easy to pull a new report from Experian...Go to Ex... pay and pull a regular report. Then go back to their main page and click on "dispute it online".When the new page opens, click "Request an online Dispute". Another page will open and you will be required to enter the original report number, your social security number, your State and Zip. That will create an updated report. I know that for a fact because I have seen updated data on newer reports that I have pulled using this technique. I do this once a day.

Anonymous
lmao- fraud alerts....I did the whole "apply for credit, call to have inquiry removed" and when I was speaking with one of the csr's I asked "How come they proccessed the inquiry when I have a fraud alert?" the told me "Well it's up to each company to pay attention to it or not...." that was for the House Hold cards I got so I guess you can get instant approvals with a fraud alert on lol. I work at an Experian call center and we have to take a lot of phone calls from irate people that we can't help simply because we're not allowed to. Plus now we have to fill out fraud tickets and the fraud department will call you back (if you have a membership).
