So hard to decide what to apply for

Recommended Posts

I posted early saying all my negs were off TU and I have one postive from 5 years ago left. My score is 636 which is not great.

I'm trying to find a card to apply for but it is so hard to decide and TU is like the least used one of them all!!

I'm think about applying for the first premier bank card but I don't know if the one postive I have from 5 years ago will count as the postive account they require. It still says open and paying as a greed but with $0 balance. It is an old one that is paid off but they just never updated it to closed, I guess?!?!

The other ones that pull TU I don't think I will be able to get appeoved for b/c of my lack of credit history.

I have that chase, bank of america, generations bank, citibank, and national city bank pull TU but I think all these are more diffcult to get and would require more like a 700 score.

Oh well i guess i will just have to get up the nerve to apply! If I'm not approved I'll just have to break down and get a secured card.

Well let you all know what I finally apply for and probably the reason why i was denied :|

First premier bank pulls TU in FL! Try them and ask for 9.9% after a few months. They did it for me. I had to pay fees to start up but pay them right away if you can. They have a crappy limit but report to all three CRA's. 6 mos and no derogs your score will go up quick and you'll be eligible for other store/CC's...http://www.firstpremier.com/

I just applied for the first premer card and I got this message...

We have received your application for a Visa® card from First PREMIER Bank and will begin processing it right away.

Please allow up to 30 days for processing.

Your application number is: **************

Does that mean i didn't get it? When did you all find out if you were aproved or not? :?

Yeah.. I got the same thing. They also offer 9.9% to qualified accounts. So if they hit you for a higher rate take it and then after a couple months you can ask to be considered for the 9.9%. It took two seconds for the CSR to give it to me. Good luck...

DH got the same message when he applied. We pull his pg report every day and saw it reporting to EQ before he even knew that he was approved. It took them about 3 weeks to send the card but it was reporting about 2 weeks after he applied.

Good luck!
