dm91497
How many points are taken off a score for inquiries? I have disputed 14 inq. and am wondering how much my score will go up. Anyone with experience in this please share.
FICOfocused
It really does vary per person. Some people say three points for each, some say two, but from what I have read on this board all of the experts always come in and clearly state there is not a set amount of points per inquiry. I myself had three fall off and my score went up 5 points. Most likely, if the 14 inquiries drop off, you'll see a score increase, and every score increase, no matter how big or small, is a good one
md
Depends a lot on how old they are. If they are older than 12 months then they are not supposed to affect your score. If they are older than 6 months they will have less of an impact. As already stated, will vary for each person.
