C Whitney
I have a problem with the age of my credit file, the only accounts being reported are the ones I have opened since my divorce in 2001. Experian however is reporting 1 account from FCNB/Spiegel that is from 1986, it is being reported as inactive/ never late, credit limit $1800, bal $0, which is great. Now we know that FCNB/Spiegel is in an uproar due to their own financial problems, question is " Is there any way I can get the other two, EQ and TU, to pick up this inactive account?" I don't want to risk having it fall off EX and FCNB/Spiegel won't answer any phone numbers I have for them. I only have a partial account number. I know I"m reaching here but was hoping there was some way to make this work! Thanks
kb9tbq
Since you are not getting them by telephone - 1. Call the CRA to see what address they have on this creditor; or2. Go through www.planetfeedback.com to see if they have this company address listed with prime contact for sending a letter.Do you know if you closed this account, if not - and they are still establishing credit you might see if you can re-activate this account so that the history is saved.
