almost_there
Round one will be completed within the week and I am getting geared up for round 2. While I map out my game plan, I need to know a few things first...I'm going to start with DV's Is there a special letter for paid accounts? Is there a special DV letter for OC's?Am I correct that you should send your disputes when you get green cards back from DV's? Right away or wait a few days? What's the best way for disputing inquiries? Thru the people that did the inquiry or thru the CRA's?Can you send SOL letter's to the OC?I think that is all for now, but I might think of more as I go Thanks in advance! lizandjerry
Is there a special letter for paid accounts?I believe this would be the nutcase letter. I'm not 100% sure, and if I'm wrong someone please correct me. Am I correct that you should send your disputes when you get green cards back from DV's? Right away or wait a few days? I would send immediately because it will take the CRA a few days anyway to get the request to a human.
horns
What the heck is a "nutcase" letter?
FICOfocused
Is there a special letter for paid accounts?Actually, the nutcase letter is a little harsh for your first round of DV. I just modified the regular DV letter to make sense for a paid collection (FYI-if you do a search on the nutcase letter, you will find it on here several times, it may even be at the top in the letters section, not sure). Am I correct that you should send your disputes when you get green cards back from DV's? Right away or wait a few days? You can send it right after you get the green card. What's the best way for disputing inquiries? Thru the people that did the inquiry or thru the CRA's? For Inquiries, I have heard a good way to dispute to TU is to do it online and to put in each inq. and give not mine as the reason. EQ you can dispute them by phone and they remove almost anything you ask them to. EX is the tough one. As soon as I have any luck figuring out how to gewt them to delete inq., I'll be sure to let you know, but I have had ZERO success with that so far. I have sent stuff to the people who did the inquiry and had no success with that either. IMHO, I think it is easier through the CRAs. Also, there is always bumpage Takes time, but it does work and you really feel like you are getting back at the CRA's by pulling something on them. Oh- what a feeling Not sure about your Question re: SOL and Oc so I will leave that for someone else to answer. Good luck in round two
almost_there
A new question about disputing inquiries....I've got the letters ready to go, but should I add the dates from the reported listing for the creditors or would that just be giving them more information than they need?I suppose I should leave it off, but I thought I would ask
