Always DV a CA or not all the time?

Ok, I know this is rather repetative, but I want to make sure that I am understanding this correctly.

Should I DV a CA even though I know that the debt is valid? The letter I got from the CA had no violations and explicitly advised me of my rights to validate (which is like the first time ever they actually did something right).

By the way, this is a brand new collection. It was just sent to collections from the OC a few weeks ago and they are giving me time to validate. Should I? :?:

Oh, one more question while I'm at it. I've been reading the prior and current posts thouroughly for the past few weeks. I am printing anything that pertains to my particular situation so I do not ask the same questions that someone else has already (just out of courtesy :D ). But one thing is really perplexing me that I cant find the answer to. If I DV a CA and they dont respond this just means that the debt goes back to the OC right? So the CA's post on my CR will be deleted, but I am still responsible for the debt to the OC? This just means that my debt will go back to the OC and I will have the opportunity (hopefully) to pay the OC instead of the CA right? Thats my question, I hope its easy to answer. :D

Yes, always DV a CA. Even if the bill is valid, the CA may not have rights to collect or may be misrepresenting the bill.

Sometimes the right to collect may not be assignable so legally the CA has no right to collect. If you pay the CA, you have just entered a contract with the CA and now you are obligated.

Also,if they don't validate then they have not full-filled your right to dispute under the FDCPA so they have to remove.

Once they remove you can pay the OC.
