FICOfocused Posted August 6, 2003 Report Share Posted August 6, 2003 With alot of pulls it is a possibility that your file could split, though I pull every day about four times and it has not happened to me yet (knock on wood ). Even if it does happen, you can call them and resolve it. I have heard this can be a pain, but it can be resolved if it does occur, so if you need to see where you are quite often to assist you in your credit repair, I wouldn't worry too much about it splitting. kb9tbq Posted August 6, 2003 Report Share Posted August 6, 2003 Splitting the file is more prone to happen with people that already have a large credit file to begin with. If the file splits and then needs to be fixed - this can result in everything being dumped backin to the credit report. Which will just set you back a few steps again on your credit repair, but not very many peope actually have this happen.Also when a file splits - the CRAs will need for you to quit pulling your credit report for them to fix the problem.
