bnr0212
I have not legally changed my last name to my husband's. I have a bankruptcy on file and about 12 negative accounts all incl. in the bk all of these accounts are linked to my maiden name as well as my old address. I will be getting my last name changed soon as well as removing all of my old addresses from my report. Do you think this will help with getting some stuff off my credit report? Will it make it harder for them to verify those accounts? Thanks in advance, B.
FICOfocused
Hi! I was married in Feb and Changed my name right away and have not had much give with the name thing. Your Soc. # stays the same,a nd that is what the CRA's use. For DVs it may help you, you will have a new last name and maybe a new address as well. Good luck
