bobby
hi there i'm new to this post and i have read all the really good advice and postings from all users(very much appreciated). i need help really bad......... it seems my mortgage company is posting my payments fro 7-14 days after they recieve it which not only charges me a late fee, but also shows on my credit report as being 30 days late. my payment is due by the 16th and i have some payments not credited till the 4th of the next month. i have all the cancelled checks, and even sent last months registered to prove my point.m,y question is should i address this with the cra. or the mortage company. i have already disputed the lates with the cra, and they came back verified.i'm trying to refinance at a better rate and the new broker pulled my cr and this was the first i new about the lates..any help would be appreciated.bob

I would make copies of all your cancelled checks proving that they were on time and demand they correct your history. Also, I would also send them a copy of the tradelines on your credit reports and demand that they change them to the correct status. They should also credit you back all your late fees. Good luck! kb9tbq
Agreed, keep on them also... keep calling and let them know how much this has hurt your credit and that you need a quick resolve on this problem as soon as possible. They have the ability to update the CRA as quick as a few days time, also make sure they send you a letter confirming their actions of what they will do to fix this problem, so you can show your mortgage broker the fact of the matter.
