Best Way to Pull Reports?

We've had some recent developments on our reports, including an unauthorized hard pull. We last ordered individual reports 7/14, and have received one online from Equifax on 7/25. Can't remember the date of the Experian one.

We need to get all three again in order not only to dispute the new information but also as proof in order to sue over the unauthorized hard pull. What is the least expensive way to do this? It is costing us a lot of $$. I've read the 3 in 1s aren't any good.

Please advise. We need to get on the investigations ASAP. We just need to be able to show the latest wrong information in order to do so.

Thanks in advance.

I am not very good with keeping up with this part - but Sis has put everything together in this post for you to check out.

What kind of unathorized pulls did you have, and do understand collection agencies are permissible purpose if a debt is owed (they don't need authorization to pull a credit report).

The pulls were done on my husband's reports-one by a car dealer and the other by Household Automotive--without his permission. They never asked and he never gave it. We are furious. They had no right to do this without his OK. It is a very serious violation.

Most dealers are sleazy and count on the public not to know about stuff like this.

Best wishes.

Know what you mean, in that business & well as the banks - they are so much on making the sale they don't think (sometimes don't even know) what their carelessness does to a persons credit.

They think that just because you may be interested that gives them a go ahead weather or not you actually told time to pull a credit report.

I think this is a very important issue which needs to be addressed with businesses that they are to respect a persons credit and not just take it for granted.

I have been starting to deal with some of our customer banks that call in, to caution them about pulling unnessasarily when they don't know for sure if the credit report is ready for what they want.

You should write a letter to this company - voicing your dissatisfaction with their employees to ingnore your wishes and accessed a copy of your credit report. When you had specifically told them not to do so.

Would try www.planetfeedback.com for this - get a higher up person, don't show so much anger in the letter, as you want their cooperation to fix the problem, just let them know you would appriciate someone fixing this and removing off of your credit report - since this inquiry unnessasarily affected your credit score.

At least try one time nicely before you determine to ge a more agressive route.
