tommster2000
Is this possible to get an injunction or restraining order against a CRA to force them to stop reporting an inacuracy?
fiatmoney
Interesting, but I would doubt it. I'm not a lawyer though so I don't know. TransUnion has reported an inaccurate public record, judgement, on me since 1997. I have disputed it several times over the years including with a letter from an attorney showing proof of settlement. It still gets reported and their canned response to me was that they investigated it and confirmed. When I requested from them by whom, what process and how confirmed I was ignored, no answer! I finally gave up. I do have a complete paper trail including cert. mail receipts, I'd love to sue them if I could. Interestingly, Equifax dropped it immediately when first disputed. Capepuffin
EQ verified my DISMISSED judgement, even when I sent them the court document showing it was dismissed. EX deleted my judgement right away. I'm not sure about TU though. I can't even tell if my tradelines are being disputed with them on-line!

Some states allow for injunctive relief in small claims court.
