Intention to Sue

Recommended Posts

I have a severe gripe with Trans Union. I have an item on a trade line that occured when my checks were stolen last year. I had over 65 fraudulent checks written on my account. I was very proactive and headed many creditors off at the pass. I even created my own 'Affidavit of Forgery and Fraud'. Well, only 1 item hit my credit reports. I contacted the creditor and they had a file that had my 'Afidavit' and indeed said I do not owe this amount. She said she would send out a letter to Trans Union and send me a copy also. She did that but Trans Union never did anything. About 8 weeks ago I disputed it by sending a copy of the letter that the creditor originally sent them. I demanded it to be deleted. 30 days went by. TU updated only the status to paid as agreed. Well I did not pay anything. I never even have an account with them. I then faxed TU the documentation one more time. I waited 30 days. It was up on the 14th. They sent me a frivious letter. WTH (What the Heck)!

I want to send them an intention to sue letter. I can't find anything here as a template. I feel they are in direct violation of FCRA. Does anyone have an Intend to sue Trans Union letter? And when I do send a letter, where is the best place to have it sent?

Thanks All.

Call TransUnion customer service and complain that you have been sending proof that the account is suppose to be removed due to id theft; that the collection agency even conceded on this fact; get a supervisor or name of someone there to work with you in the matter. I notice that when you call you can sometimes move things along better then sending in letters.
