just filed my first ever lawsuit: Sherman

Just filed my first lawsuit against Sherman. Actually it's against their subsidiary Alegis (they're the only people at Sherman who write back). Actually it's against C T Corporation System (the registered agent of Alegis in my state).

Sherman makes it very difficult to sue them.

Because of the state budget crisis no small claims cases are being heard until at least July (and then the courts will be backed up for months).

I'm hoping Sherman will just settle. I've never been a party to a lawsuit or seen the inside of a courtroom and I'm a little nervous about the prospect.

A few months ago I was in the same situation, only I was the defendant.

My advice for the butterflies when your day in court finally arrives: look over at the CA's and imagine them totally naked with the word LOSER stamped on their foreheads.

In all seriousness though, according to the other posts around here, the CA's will probably not even show up.
