Ever.However, if you are in California Article 2.6 "Unfair Collection Practices" section 4 Postdated Checks: It is unlawful for a collector to:(a)accept or deposit a check that is postdated by more five days, unless the collector gives written notice to the person giving the check, at least three but not more than ten buisness days before deposit, of its intention to deposit the check or..." and the statue goes on. This is part of the FDCP for California.I see you are new to this board. Read everything you can here and you will feel more confident and more importantly educated with regards to your rights.
