Larry357
I got all of my green cards back that I sent out. 10 in total. I got letter from Trans Union asking for RR. It was the letter that basicly accuses me of going to a credit repair company. They was lettign me know it was free to investigate credit. They wanted to know whom I worked with or what brochures I have. I am thinking about just letting my time run out and sending the follow up letter with a copy of the RR Card. In the letter I will state that they had 30 days to investigate and as of now there was nothing sent to me stating an investigation took place. I would demand that they delete the accounts in question or face a day in court with me wanting $1000 and damages for having to pay higher interest rates due to unjust credit reporting.Do you guys/gals think that this is a good idea or should I do something else? As of now I haven't heard anything back from Experian or Equifax.
admin
This is a blowoff letter and a stall tactic, they are attempting to get more info from you so they can extend the investigation (which is still going on) another 15 days. Ignore it and countdown to the 30 day investigation limit.
Larry357
thanks admin...... I will do that. I will update this post when I get some more news.
smogtek
Experian is trying the same tactic with me.My letters were pretty clear - Wrong amount and wrong release date. What don't they understand about that? Do they want me to give them the correct amount and date so they can just plug the correct information in?I'm just planning on ignoring it and letting the time run.I have not heard anything from TU.EQ is another matter that I'll talk about later. I guess I will wait teh 30 days and semd them a new letter.Experian on teh other hand are blowing me off entirely. They sent me the request fro more information so I sent that and they are still refusing to investigate I keep gettign back teh same request fro dates, amounts , etc. What shoudl I do my letters are very clear and concise.any suggestions would be great
admin
They must investigate every time you send them a dispute. I'd point this out to them and also add something like: "You did not investigate this properly last time and ignored my documentation. You also need to provide me with the method of verification." MJMMDMM
I called Experian and asked how they verify it.This is there reply.Experian letter."When you question information on your personal credit report and tell us specifically why you believe the information is inaccurte or incomplete,we contact the source of the information directly by telephone, letter,or through an automated verification system. We ask the source to check their records to verify all of the information regarding the item you questioned, and report back within 30 days of the date we received your request{21 days for Maine residents} Once we receive a response,we will send you the results of the investigation. If we do not receive a response within 30 days{21 days for Maine...},we will update the item as you have requested or delete the infomation, and send you the results.Experian.Don't they have to tell me something like thisCalled ***hole credit at 1-800... talk to Mr. ***hole,he said verfied, date 00/00/00 If they do will call them Mon. their dime their postage I can play there game. Now i have nothing but my 2 charge-offs and my deferred student loans. I would have asked them to just delete the deliquencies but leave the account info (to show i have had credit). I guess that's what i get for disputing online. Oh and one more thing: i never received a letter from either three CRA when i disputed online twice with each(in AUgust and November). And yes i wasn't joking when i said they deleted all my deliqeuncies and collections. I would say about 5-7 deletions for each (for the two times i disputed)
Jackal
Well I got fourteen deletions from TU. Anonymous
Wow, good for you on your deletions! I can't get anything from TU. All my accounts show a high balance with 0 credit limit except 2. They have 4 more late pays than my other reports and they have never deleted a thing. Equifax is best for me right now but we will see after I get all the procedural requests out.
Anonymous
AHA! TRANS UNION did the same thing to me, I got the same letter about the credit repair company/brochure thing today. I guess I will just ignore it like you all and wait until the 30 days runs out. I was about to write them a letter pointing out their mistake, but if what you all say is true, that they are investigating, then I guess I'll leave it alone. :urgh:
Anonymous
I got the same letter from transunion. What should the follow up letter contain? Intent to sue?
