alaskan
I sent out a total of 11 cmrr letters.Four to TU and only got the "we think you used a repair company" letter and nothing about if they were investigating my requests. Did they use the one letter to blow me off.?Four to experian, have not heard anything from them.Three to equifax, got an email from them that they were investigating the lates on one account, but nothing about the other two requests. I checked it online and it says they started the investigation on the 17th, do I have to wait 30 days from the time they start it or the day they got my request.?Can I sue them for not investigating, or in the case of equifax not starting till almost two weeks after they got the request.? creditfix
They have 30 days from the date they received your request. It doesn't matter if they were two weeks late entering it. And, yes, if they do not investigate your disputes you may have grounds for a lawsuit. Keep us posted!
