Anonymous
Is there any way for a credit card company to get a judgment against you without personally serving you? Could I be served at work? Also, I live in Arizona and somebody told me that in some states you can check public records online to see if the court has processed in paperwork, so you will know if someone is trying to serve you??? admin
Yep, it happens all of the time. If you were never served, you can easily get this vacated, however. As far as looking this up online, some counties are just more progressive and have more cash than others. You'll have to do some checking on your own. admin
It depends on the state - sometimes by registered mail is enough, sometimes in person, etc. You should call the court where the judgment was issued and find out what's legal.
