Anonymous
Some companies are requesting that you send them additinal information before they provide you with anything. This is being done in the guise of The Privacy Act. You may be able to short circuit that by including this in the original letter of dispute:"We hereby waive any right to privacy during the 30 days – provided that any breach of such privacy is strictly related to the satisfaction of the required verification and validation of this dispute. Do not send a request to us for any information needed under the Privacy Act." What do you think?

Anonymous
I revised it just a bit and sent out two Notices of Disputes today. We'll see!! "We hereby waive any right to privacy during the 30 days – provided that any breach of such privacy is strictly related to the satisfaction of the above required verification and validation of this dispute. Do not send a request to us for any additional information about ourselves or to verify our identity under the guise that it is needed under the Privacy Act. You already have all that information."
