cybercrusader
A collection agency I never heard of filed a complaint against using my PO Box (mailing address only). However, I don't live anywhere near my PO Box and it's in a completely different township (My physical address is in a different jurisdiction). Can they sue me in a township I don't live in or can I have this thrown out? (I live in Pennsylvania). Thanks
admin
They can, but if they do, it's pretty easy to get it thrown out.
cybercrusader
I spoke to the Magistrates office today and they told me that a complaint has to be filed "where you reside" or "where the situation took place". Obviously, I fall under neither. However, they did tell me that the DM has to rule on it (the DM was out when I called). They also said it's possible to transfer it to the proper jurisdiction. My question to you Admin is how can I get it thrown out?
