Anonymous
I am helping a friend of mine w/getting her credit cleaned up. I pulled a tri-merged report and she has a CA State Tax Lien filed in 12/1995. She never got notice of this because she moved to MS and has been living here since 12/1993. She says she has no idea what this could be for. It is reporting to all three CB's. We have sent a letter to the CB's to dispute it as not hers. If they verify hasn't the SOL ran out?ThanksAD

They can stay on a credit report forever if unpaid.
