tulipchic
A judgment in Texas is good for 10 years and can be renewed every 10 years.
LadynRed
Yes, but it can ONLY be renewed by the SAME entity that placed it to start wtth - therein is the catch. While some creditors may be diligent enough to keep up with these things decade after decade, most of them do not. Once the judgment term expires, its dead and cannot be revived in any way. utman17
But it will go off of my Credit Report after 7 years right?
utman17
I disputed it with transunion and it was deleted!!! This does not mean it cant come back does it?
LadynRed
Not necessarily. If the judgment is still out there on the public records, it can be placed back on your report - its accurate info. However, you would have to be notified in writing 5 days prior to the re-insertion.
