Anonymous
I had posted a success story a few months back about how I had a collection removed from my credit report. Out of morbid curiosity I decided to review my credit report and was disgusted to see the same Associates MasterCard Account ($1308) had been assigned to another collection agency, Midland Credit Management in San Diego! I have never heard from them, not received a letter from them or ANYTHING! The previous firm removed it as a collection account after I sent 2 debt validation letters.I don't know what to do! I thought the other collection agency backed down and removed it after I disputed it but NOW it shows up as "OPEN" with 120+ days past due?!?!? How is this possible...I could possibly save and pay this debt off since I have a well paying job, but this just does not seem right! admin
Well, if the SOL is NOT up, then they may think that they can still collect from you, or the OC is hiring someone else to get the job done.Sorry to say, but start over with this new collection agency.
