Anonymous
Nice new site What can I show the court that the SOL has expired on an account. Would my spouses old (1999) credit report showing the charge off date and the original creditor suffice?
admin
Tell me the state and I'll tell you the statute. I'll even look it up for you!
Anonymous
ok, I am in California which I believe has a SOL of 4 years for 'open book'accounts. My spouses credit report from January 1999, states "status as of 11/97: charged off as a bad debt". I need to prove to the court that the SOL has expired for an old credit card account. Would this credit report suffice as 'proof'? This is the only credit report that has this information.
