CA won't validate or respond

Recommended Posts

The CA will mot respond to my requests for validation or intent to sue letter, but the keep verifying with CRA's. The CRA's just tell me the have verified over the phone and that there is nothing to send me on how they verified their info. Any suggestions

It's really better if you do this yourself in small claims. My friend the lawyer says that you have a good chance of them not paying much attention and not being prepared by attacking them in small claims.

He says that when you get a lawyer involved, they'll show up with 3 corporate attorneys to hammer on you and find any holes. It's really not that scary to do.

I have just recieved a letter from them today, it reads:

Please contact the undersigned or XXXXXX at XXX-XXX-XXXX, ext XXX (or X-XXX-XXX-XXXX, ext XXX) in reference to your account.

PURSUANT TO THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT, 15 U.S.C., 1692-1692o, NOTE, AS AMENDED BY PUBLIC LAW NO. 99-361, XXXXXXXIS REQUIRED TO STATE THE FOLLOWING TO YOU AS THE CONSUMER IN THE ABOVE MATTER: xxxxxx, ATTORNEY FOR THE CREDITOR IN THE ABOVE MATTER, IS ACTING AS A DEBT COLLECTOR AND IS ATTEMPTING TO COLLECT A DEBT. ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED WILL BE USED FOR THAT PURPOSE.

They have not validated, this is in response to the intent to sue letter. Did they just break the law again?
