sleety_girl
I had a conversation a while back with Household/Beneficial in which I told him that the debt was not mine and to send me proof via validation.Well, lo and behold, they have sent me a copy of a signed contract, and I recieved a card that they were attempting to deliver a certified letter of some sorts which I would have to sign for to verify receipt.Do you think I should actually get the letter and have it verified that I received it or should I just ignore the fact that they are sending me this letter? I am assuming that it is a request for payment.I'm not sure what to do...this is actually one of the bills that is mine and was not incurred through my dead beat ex boyfriend. Any suggestions would be much obliged.
Anonymous
Pick it up. They are making the attempt to provide you with information via certified mail. If you do not sign for it , they still have proof they tried to validate the debt.Quite possibly the info they are sending you is not complete anyway,
Anonymous
Very true Matt. And hey, why not sign somebody else's name? That way they can't use it for future "copied" signatures or even compare them if you go to court.
