Anonymous
A law office sent me a letter saying I owed them $5,000+ for a corporate credit card. I wrote asking for validation. They sent me a stack of computer printouts showing activity on the card. They admitted in their accompanying letter that they had no paper with a signature on it, but that I was required to pay the debt anyway.I'm not sure what to do from here. Any advice? bingo
Here's your problem. Business accounts are exempt from FDCPA protection. Does your state prehaps have some consumer law that would cover business accounts?
123rich
Is it your debt? If it is then you might want to come to an agreement with them unless your state has diferent consumer laws. Talk to a lawyer in your area that deals with these spacific matters.Good Luck.....
